Step 6:
Exchange & Completion:
When the survey has been completed, mortgage has been offered (if applicable) and solicitors on both sides are satisfied that everything is in order, contracts will be signed and exchanged by both parties and a mutually convenient date agreed for completion.
On exchange of contracts the purchaser is legally obligated to purchase your property and you are legally obligated to sell it at the agreed price. When completion day comes your solicitor will receive purchase monies from the purchaser's solicitor and congratulations - you have sold your property.
Your solicitor will then give us authority to release keys to the new owner.
